Vito,
Thank you for your purchase. As you know we went to great lengths to send pics and to communicate to you the year of production on these boots BEFORE you bought them. We do this for customers even though it takes labor hours which is a costly endeavor- try asking Amazon for this service. It is natural to get a little tarnishing on solid brass hardware in contact with tanned leather- we do try to clean this up before shipping and will re-double our efforts. It is actually a hallmark of a quality boot. Much of our stock of quality boots has been on the shelf for more than a year. You do not see this tarnish when you wear the boots because it is worn away by everyday wear. We have a dry storage area (we are located in high country desert) and we inspect our inventory. It does not degrade the boots. We cannot turn entire size runs of handmade boots over rapidly- too many sizes and too many boots. Trying to maintain a website tracking all of this is challenging- that is why we pick up the phone or the email. There are also many variations in our Nick's styles- this is because they are handmade and they do vary from order to order. Again, we took the time to send you pics of all of this and worked with you as best we could. We would be happy to take your boots back at no charge. We cannot sell boots at or below cost, because then we cannot pay our small town employees- the math does not work- we are not Amazon and there is no corporate monolith to absorb this- but you can buy the cheap chinese boots on Amazon. Boots made by hand in the USA attract US labor rates and prices. Actually, our margin on USA made boots is LOWER than some of our boots that are made outside the USA. If you would like to return the boots, just let us know. If you would like to buy the business, just let us know. It is a labor of love, not the Crypto market. We just like quality boots- that's probably why you don't see a lot of other similar stores. I guess its better than some other vices.
Thanks for your business, but we understand if you prefer to return your boots.
All the Best,
JC
